Responsibilities: This is currently a grant-funded position responsible for helping to create and implement the protocol for a new treatment court. This role will involve coordinating admissions to the Veteran's Treatment Court program in collaboration with the presiding judge and both external and internal stakeholders. Key duties include screening applicants for eligibility; conducting interviews using motivational interviewing techniques; identifying risks and needs; formulating eligibility recommendations; and presenting recommendation, both written and verbally, to the Veteran's Treatment Court team. This position may require supervision of CSO l staff, as needed. Additional responsibilities include tracking client compliance, performance, and progress through phases of program. This position also involves preparing documents for presentation to the court; managing files; and tracking program data. This role provides guidance and direction to clients and prospective applicants; offering ongoing advice and recommendations to Veteran's Treatment Court team regarding clients’ program status of clients; and participate in the team’s assessment of clients’ continued eligibility and status in the program.
Other responsibilities include coordinating with the Specialty Court Program Manager to facilitate treatment court training activities for the team, steering committee, local partners, and veteran mentors. This position also includes organizing quarterly steering committee meetings and reporting on the status of grant and private funding.
This is a grant funded position, with potential for yearly renewal.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in corrections, criminology, counseling, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field. Preferred military background.
